History[]

Originally ‘8H+EH’ with an unknown unit, this aircraft was surrendered to the RAF and marked USA 5. Passed to Watson's Whizzers, it was allocated number 202, named "Jane I" and shipped to the USA aboard HMS Reaper. On arrival in the USA, it was transferred to the US Navy and allocated BuAer.No.121445, before joining Flight Test Division at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland. The aircraft was recorded as being photographed, wearing US insignia, during it's evaluation at Patuxent River, still as Jane 1[1], but was not flown due to lack of spares. Struck off charge 31 January 1946, the aircraft was scrapped.
